Troop 22 in Cary, NC is working with Triangle Luminaria (https://www.triangleluminaria.org/) to provide luminaria kits to neighborhoods in southwest Wake County. Our neighborhood is Wynston Ridge in Cary.

If you live in this neighborhood and wish to purchase luminaria kits, we have ended our sales for 2024. But 2025 will be here before you know it!

Q: What is a luminary?

A luminary is a paper bag with a lit candle weighed down with sand. It is customary to place them curbside on December 24th approximately 20 feet apart. In case of rain, the first date is December 25th, and the second rain date is December 31st.

Q: What is included in a luminaria kit?

One kit has enough supplies for seven individual luminaries plus instructions.
